1. Controller

2. General information and legal bases

I process personal data only where this is necessary and on one of the following legal bases: consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR), performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures (Article 6(1)(b) GDPR), legal obligation (Article 6(1)(c) GDPR) and legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). Each section states which basis applies.

3. Hosting

This website consists of static pages. It is hosted by Vercel Inc., 440 N Barranca Ave #4133, Covina, CA 91723, USA, and served through its delivery network. Vercel acts as my processor; a data processing agreement under Article 28 GDPR is in place with Vercel.

When a page is requested, Vercel processes the connection data that is technically necessary: the IP address, the time of the request, the address requested and the browser identification (user agent). This data is used to deliver the page and to secure it, for example against attacks. The legal basis is my legitimate interest in reliable and secure operation (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR). The data is not combined with other data, and no profiling takes place.

Vercel processes data primarily in the United States. Transfers to the United States rely on the adequacy decision for the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework (Article 45 GDPR), under which Vercel is certified, and in addition on the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses (Implementing Decision (EU) 2021/914, Article 46 GDPR).

4. No cookies, no audience measurement

This website sets no cookies and uses no analytics, no audience measurement and no tracking. Consent under section 25 of the German TDDDG is therefore not required.

5. Fonts

The fonts used are served from this domain and are not loaded from a third-party provider. Opening a page therefore transmits no address to third parties.

6. Recipients and third countries

I do not pass personal data on to any other recipient. The only processor is Vercel Inc. as hosting provider. This involves a transfer to the United States; its basis is described in section 3.

7. Retention

Personal data is deleted as soon as the purpose of processing no longer applies and no statutory retention obligations stand in the way.

8. Your rights

You have the right of access (Article 15 GDPR), rectification (Article 16), erasure (Article 17), restriction of processing (Article 18), data portability (Article 20) and withdrawal of consent with effect for the future (Article 7(3)). A message to the contact details given in section 1 is sufficient.

Right to object (Article 21 GDPR): Where I process data on the basis of legitimate interests, you may object to the processing on grounds relating to your particular situation.

Right to lodge a complaint: You may lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority. The competent authority is Die Landesbeauftragte für den Datenschutz Niedersachsen, Prinzenstraße 5, 30159 Hannover, Germany.

9. No automated decision-making

No automated decision-making, including profiling within the meaning of Article 22 GDPR, takes place.
